Chef Laurent, the founder welcomes you to NinaLou Patisserie and Cafe in Chester, NJ.

My Story

I am from a 5th Generation of pastry bakers in Beziers, France and International Ambassador of Michel Cluizel chocolate.  I owned and managed 2 family bakeries in France before moving to the US. I participated in many international competitions and as a finalist of a TV Food Network show (Spring Baking Championship Season 7). I am a Member of L'Academie Culinaire Francaise and have been consulting throughout my career for pastry, bakery, chocolate and various culinary businesses in the US. For many years I was an executive pastry chef for a private club in NYC. 

I am also an active member of the local community and volunteer fire fighter. My role in the patisserie will be to make the French delicates, plan all pastries needs and seasonal offerings as well as ensuring the use of the best local ingredients available. 


As my first business in the US, NinaLou is named after my two children, Angelina and Louis.
